It is applicable for accumulation of phlegm due to stagnated seven emotions marked by obstructive sensation in the throat. It is used for Globus hystericus, Sleeplessness, Asthma, Neurosis, Tumor of the throat, Melancholy Obstruction of qi in the chest, Abdominal pain due to excessive fluid, Hysterical phrenoplegia, etc.
